ISOGrid versus the other ways to host in Algeria
Installing an open source tool on your servers, using an Algerian PaaS, renting a VPS or going with ISOGrid: here is what each option gives you, point by point. The other products are described from their documentation and public websites.
ISOGrid, Coolify, Dokploy, CapRover and Dokku
These tools are good free software, but they are software: you install them, you update them, you back up their servers and you fix things when something breaks. ISOGrid is a service, operated by our teams, in Algeria.

ISOGrid, PivoCloud, Deploily, OpenScaler and Hawiyat
Five Algerian platforms, five approaches. PivoCloud focuses on applications and PostgreSQL, Deploily on deployment and local APIs on top of Algerian hosting providers, and OpenScaler is building an infrastructure cloud (virtual machines, networking, Kubernetes), announced as an alpha release by its vendor. Hawiyat is a deployment platform to install on your servers, described here from its documentation. ISOGrid covers applications, databases, managed services and Kubernetes, and integrates with public clouds as well as VPS.
The difference shows from the very first application. On ISOGrid, no Dockerfile or configuration file is required: you connect GitHub or GitLab, or upload a .zip, and the platform detects the port, builds the image and gives you an HTTPS URL. You can also hand the repository to the DevOps agent, which reads the code, draws the architecture and deploys after your approval. And the same console runs, when you need it, an entire system: frontend, API, workers, message queues, clustered PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.

Algerian hosting providers and cloud operators
Algerian operators and hosting providers, such as Djezzy, Ooredoo, Algérie Télécom, ICOSNET, ADEX or Octenium, rent servers and virtual machines. That is the infrastructure. ISOGrid does not replace it: it plugs into it, and runs your applications, databases and services on top, combining several providers so that everything stays online when one of them has an incident. ISOGrid is integrated with each of the providers below.
| Rented VPS or virtual machine | ISOGrid | |
|---|---|---|
| What you receive | An empty machine | An application, a database, a cluster, up and running |
| System, security, updates | Your responsibility | Handled for you |
| Going live | Over SSH, by hand | From Git, a Docker image or a Compose file |
| Databases, cache, message queues | Install and back up yourself | Managed and backed up |
| Provider outage | The service goes down | Failover to another provider |
| Several providers | One console per provider | One console for all of them |
| Machines you already rent | Still managed one by one | Added to an ISOGrid cluster over SSH |
Your clusters where you want them: public cloud, VPS or your own servers
In addition to the ISOGrid cloud in Algeria, the platform builds private Docker Swarm or Kubernetes clusters wherever you decide, then manages them from the same console. The price per machine is shown before creation.
In your own account
ISOGrid builds the machines and the cluster in your account, then deletes your credentials as soon as the cluster is running.
No account to open
We order the VPS in the ISOGrid account: no account to open with the provider.
Existing servers and VPS
Add over SSH any Ubuntu server or VPS, from any hosting provider, Algerian or not. ISOGrid installs what is needed and adds it to your cluster.
OpenShift
Connect an OpenShift 4.17 or newer cluster through its API: your applications deploy to it from the ISOGrid console.
Machines with an Algerian operator
Request a machine from the console with Djezzy, Ooredoo, ICOSNET, Adex, Octenium or Algérie Télécom: our teams take care of the order.
You can leave
A cluster built in your account or on your machines remains standard Swarm or Kubernetes. If you leave ISOGrid, it keeps running. How to leave.
Choosing your platform
What is the difference between ISOGrid and Coolify, Dokploy, CapRover or Dokku?
Coolify, Dokploy, CapRover and Dokku are open source software that you install and operate yourself on your servers. ISOGrid is a managed service: we operate the platform, the servers, the updates and the backups, in Algeria. ISOGrid adds Kubernetes, real-time PostgreSQL replicas with automatic failover, managed S3 storage, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, automatic scaling and an AI agent.
Is ISOGrid simpler than PivoCloud or an open source tool?
For putting an application online, yes: there is nothing to install and no Dockerfile to write. You connect GitHub or GitLab, or upload a .zip, and the platform detects the port, builds the image and publishes an HTTPS URL. The DevOps agent can even handle it on its own: it reads the repository, draws the architecture, proposes a plan and deploys after your approval. The difference from a simple deployment tool is that the same platform then runs far more advanced architectures: clustered PostgreSQL with replicas, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Keycloak, Kubernetes and several providers with automatic failover.
Is ISOGrid open source?
No. However, ISOGrid does not lock you in: your applications are ordinary container images, and a private cluster remains standard Docker Swarm or Kubernetes that keeps running if you leave.
Which public clouds and VPS does ISOGrid integrate with?
ISOGrid builds clusters in your own Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, DigitalOcean, IBM Cloud, Alibaba Cloud or OpenStack account, and connects to an existing OpenShift cluster. It also orders VPS from Contabo, Hetzner and OVHcloud in its own account, with no account to open on your side, and adds over SSH any Ubuntu server or VPS you already rent, including from an Algerian hosting provider.
Does ISOGrid replace my Algerian hosting provider?
No, it plugs into it. An Algerian hosting provider or operator rents you machines; ISOGrid runs your applications, databases and services on them, and can combine several providers with automatic failover.
